Searching for date errors / inconsistencies

Kith and Kin Pro will check the entire family tree for impossible and improbable date entries. For instance a person could not have a birth date of 28 May 1960 and a death date of 1 Apr 1951.

Person:

Christening before birth: The christening date comes before the birth date.

Death/burial before birth/christening: The death date comes before the birth date. The burial date will be used if the death date has not been entered. The christening date will be used if the birth date has not been entered.

Over ? years old at death/burial: The person was more than the given number of years old at death. The christening date will be used if the birth date has not been entered. The burial date will be used if the death date has not been entered. If no death or burial date has been entered Kith and Kin Pro will check today's date to see if the person could still be alive.

Death/burial but "Dead" flag is not set: The person's "Dead" flag indicates that he/she is alive but there are death and/or burial details present.

Family:

Marriage/divorce before birth/christening of parent: Marriage occurred before the birth of either parent. The christening date will be used if the birth date has not been entered. The divorce date will be used if the marriage date has not been entered.

Death/burial of parent before marriage/divorce: Marriage occurred after the death of either parent. The burial date will be used if the death date has not been entered. The divorce date will be used if the marriage date has not been entered.

Divorce before marriage: The divorce date comes before the marriage date.

Child born/christened before mother is ? years old: At least one child was born before the mother was the given number of years old. The christening date of the child will be used if the birth date has not been entered. The christening date of the mother will be used if the birth date has not been entered.

Child born/christened after mother is dead/buried: At least one child was born after the mother was dead. The christening date of the child will be used if the birth date has not been entered. The burial date of the mother will be used if the death date has not been entered.

Child born/christened more than ? weeks after father's death/burial: At least one child was born more than the given number of weeks after the father's death. The christening date of the child will be used if the birth date has not been entered. The burial date of the father will be used if the death date has not been entered.
